UN Secretary General’s Special Adviser on Myanmar Vijay Nambiar, who is in Myanmar together with Peace Donor Support Group, arrived in Sittwe of Rakhine State this morning and would proceed to Maungdaw.
He arrived in Sittwe together with Union Minister Thein Htay. The group also comprises 15 religious leaders of All Myanmar Islam Organization, posted in the facebook of a top official from the President Office.

The well-wishers went to Argyeiktaung and Tat-U Pariyatti monastery rescue camps and donated cash and other relief aids.

12:00 PM 13 JuneThe Bangladeshi government dismissed calls from the UNHCR to accept Rohingyas fleeing to Bangladesh.
“It is certainly not in the best of our interests to allow in a further influx of refugees. We want to make sure that refugees don’t enter Bangladesh in large numbers again”, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni told reporters in Dhaka yesterday.
The government immediately sent back more than 1000 Rohingyas entering the country on 12 June to Myanmar in three boats. According to Bangladeshi media, like Myanmar, Bangladesh sees the acceptance of 200,000 to 300,000 Rohingyas within decades as a burden and regards Rohingyas as those who have no country.

The European Union announced that they welcomed the handling measures of Myanmar government on the situations in Rakhine State, which have been broking out starting nearly one week ago.
"We believe that the security forces are handling this difficult intercommunal violence in an appropriate way," said Maja Kocijanic, spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. "We welcome the priority which the Myanmar Government is giving to dealing with all ethnic conflicts."

Clashes broke out between the Rakhine and the Bengalis around 5 PM yesterday and there have been casualties on both sides. The clashes broke out when the Rakhine defends the Bengalis who were trying to set fire. According to reports, at least 4 people have died during this incident.

Bengalis who were surrounding Aung Daing Village located at 5 miles west of Sittway has withdrawn due to arriving of security forces last night.
Two Bengalis were captured who were trying to set the fire on Ka The Village about 4 am this morning by Rakhine People.
Mi Zan ward located on Strand Street of Sittway was burning due to the wire shock this morning.
“The rescue camps that were opened yesterday received more Bengali women and children. However, The Bengali men are staying at their places” said a resident.
“A group of UN correspondents arrived Sittway this morning. It is raining now. We guess there will be less incidents today;” said residents.
